Why do I need to login to view my earnings as well as adding friends. Why can't my login info. be persisted beyond just being able to view my profile information (i.e., on the profile tab)?

I think it's just for your protection. You can have automatic logins through your computer. That way you don't have to log in all the time.

I agree, it's unnecessary and tedious, even with auto-logins. But in the grand scheme of things, I suppose there are more important matters for eHow to focus on in terms of smoothing out operations.

Just my 2 cents....

I find that I have to log in for practically everything multiple times in a day- the tediousness can get annoying, and it would be nice if they could fix the auto-login features so when you sign in once, you stay signed in- but all in good time right?

Yes, I agree. It's annoying and time consuming. I have auto-login but the password needs to be logged in each time. Having to log-in for this and that several times a day gets a bit old in due time.

you actually only need to log in any extra time to view earnings. The way their poorly designed system seems to work here is that every time you log in, it makes a new session and new cookie and invalidates the old one. The way they form their links in the "You've got a new friend request" e-mails forces you to log in again BUT if instead you just go to ehow.com manually instead of clicking the link in the e-mail, you don't have to log in again to add the friend. As for other seemingly excessive times, remember that if you have multiple windows or tabs open with ehow pages in them, as soon as you log in on one of them, it boots you out on every other page cuz it invalidates the session. So don't view the site in more than one tab at once.

I'm very familiar with tabbed browsing. I don't use it anymore, so I only have ONE window open at a time. (ex-myie/maxthon user from a long time ago)

The only reason why you need to login again when you view your earnings is because of protective reasons. We don't want your info to get in the hands of someone else who uses the same computer as you do or someone else who uses a computer after you used it. Thanks.

Can you give me a list of when you need to login again in order to do something on the site? It just seems a little odd that you need to login just add a friend. That shouldn't be happening. I would also like to know what browser and computer system you are using. Thanks.

Is anybody else having greater success with the multiple logins? I have noticed that when I click on view earnings, I no longer have to log in again. Great change- thank you!

Logging in works fine! Adding friends works fine also.I log in once and then log in again to check my earnings that's it.I never had an experience to log in many times just to add a friend.
