The Seven Lakes area is situated in southern Chile and is so called because of the seven lakes that form part of the same basin. Four volcanoes and a number of hot springs are located in the area, and coupled with the relatively unspoiled nature reserves, the area is a popular destination for tourists. Activities such as skiing, rafting, hiking, mountain biking and other snow sports are possible in Seven Lakes.
Chile is the longest country in the world, stretching 2700 miles from north to south and sandwiched between the Andes mountains and Pacific ocean. From the cold, mountainous region of Patagonia in the south, up to the lush lake and wine regions of the central plains, to the inhospitable desert in the north, there is a place and activity for anyone visiting Chile. Travelers of all tastes and budgets are easily accommodated in the many hotels throughout Chile.(Ref.1)
