The captain's armband serves as unique uniform accessory that tells the teams and match officials involved in a particular game that the person wearing it is the team captain. Captain's armbands are typically used in soccer, but exist in rugby and Australian Rules Football as well. Though the bands are usually yellow, they can come in a variety of other colors, such as black or blue, and can be plain or customized to include stripes or the letter "C" for "Captain."
