Set in the red hills of east-central Mississippi on land once inhabited by the Choctaw, Legion State Park is home to 12-acre Lake Toppasha and four-acre Lake Palila. Take a nature walk through peaceful, pristine woods along Lake Toppasha's shoreline, or drop a fishing line in search of bass and bream on one or both lakes. If you'd like to stay overnight, the park has 15 RV campsites, although none lie directly along the lakeshore. However, the park does have several cabins close to Lake Toppasha.
