  • Specifications for the McLaren F1 GTR

    McLaren Automative began as the McLaren Racing Team, named after founder Bruce McLaren. Partner Teddy Mayer was an influence, and a later partner, Ron Dennis, formed McLaren Automotive in 1989. The company originally designed the F1 GTR to be a road car, but redesigned it to international specifications for Grand Turismo Racing. In 1995 seven F1 GTRs entered at Le Mans. The cars won first, third, fourth, fifth and thirteenth overall and first through fourth in the GT class.

    Bugatti is a car company that was established in 1909 in Molsheim, France, by an Italian, Ettore Bugatti. The company was famous for manufacturing some of the fastest cars of the time, and later went on to make airplane parts. The Company was sold to Hispano-Suiza in 1963, and the name eventually became the property of Volkswagen in May, 1998. Today, Volkswagen uses the Bugatti name for the production of limited edition sports cars.
