If you have a disc image file in the ISO file format, you need to burn or mount that disc image before you can start using the contained data. If you are using the FreeBSD Unix operating system, then, like many other operations, you must mount the ISO from the command line. You mount the drive by creating a hypothetical drive and then mounting the ISO data to that drive.
PC-BSD is a free, open source operating system that is a customized version of the FreeBSD operating system, with installers and software designed for normal desktop use.
