A good offense is the best way to deal with cakes that are stuck. Cakes have a tendency to get stuck in a bowl or pan more easily than most bakers would like. While there are a few tricks that you can try to get the stuck cake out, preparation helps. Use a nonstick pan, or grease the pan before use. With some pans, using a cake liner or wax paper allows for easy cake removal. While you should let a cake cool before removing it, let it cool for 15 minutes at most.
