A marine air conditioner is an air conditioner unit designed specifically to cool down boats and yachts in warm weather. These air conditioners work to both transfer heat away from the air and to dry the air so that moisture is not gathered in the boat where mold can easily grow. Air conditioners are installed along with control assemblies, seawater cooling systems and air distribution systems.
Boating for more than a few hours is nicer when there is a cabin for relaxing, or even sleeping. Radiation from the water makes temperatures inside a boat rise at an alarming rate. On open water, concealed in a fiberglass shell, the temperature rises faster than it does in a sealed automobile. Boat air conditioners keep the atmosphere on board pleasant even in extreme heat.
