Succulent terrariums! |
I couldn't decide which succulents I wanted to use, so I might have over done it. But can you blame me? They're so cute!

I couldn't decide which succulents I wanted to use, so I might have over done it. But can you blame me? They're so cute!

First things first, add a layer of rocks to the container to create the base of the drainage system.

Add a layer of charcoal. The charcoal will help generate air filtration within the terrarium.

Add a layer of soil on top of the charcoal.

Loosen the root soil of the succulents before planting them in the container.

The first plant is in place! I'm going to add three since the jar is relatively small.

Add a few more decorative rocks

Time for water! Pour enough to just get the soil damp.

I've been wanting to make a succulent terrarium for a while now, and it was a beautiful day to garden!
Supplies Used:
-A variety of succulents (I used three, but the number of plants you'll need will depend on the size of the container you want to use).
-Decorative stones
-Cactus, palm and citrus soil
-A glass container
-Charcoal
-Spade (optional...depends how dirty you're willing to get)
