The original instructions suggested unrolling the dough, but that didn't work very well for me. Instead, I used kitchen scissors to cut along the seams.

Cut a piece of dough from the rope and place it on a cookie sheet. Pinch two rolls into wing shapes, then press these wings onto each side of the straight piece (the body).

Bake your cinnacritters at 400 degrees for 13 to 17 minutes. Here's a baked cinnabunnerfly, waiting for its finishing touches.

Cut two antennae from gummy candies, such as these green sour punch bites. Use a toothpick to poke small holes in the head, then insert the antennae.

To make a cinnapuppy, use a dough rope to form droopy ears. Add jelly beans for eyes, nose and mouth, and a gummy Lifesaver collar.
Betty Crocker's cinnabunny idea had me at hello. Of course, I had to try a few variations--cinnabunnerflies and cinnapuppies. They were easy, a ton of fun and--best of all--the kids loved them.
