For DIY candy decor, you'll need something for a candy center (a lantern, paper plates, a box, or a balloon), and something to cover it, like tissue paper or cellophane.

For DIY candy decor, you'll need something for a candy center (a lantern, paper plates, a box, or a balloon), and something to cover it, like tissue paper or cellophane.

Here I used a cut-off piece of a pool noodle for my candy center.

Tape the tissue to the pool noodle and roll it up.  Twist the ends shut and secure with ribbon.  A perfect piece of candy!

Using cellophane with your "candy" makes it look even better.  First, wrap your candy center (like a box) in the cellophane.
