The nuvi 250 GPS unit by Garmin launched in 2007 as a choice for "the budget conscious consumer who is looking for basic navigation without all the bells and whistles of the higher end" nuvi models, as GPS Magazine put it. The model came with a 3.5-inch touch screen, turn-by-turn guidance and 6 million Points of Interest listings in its database, among other features. The 250 gained critical acclaim for its directional technology, with many options but also some limitations.
