Northeast Minneapolis is located across the Mississippi River from downtown Minneapolis and is composed of 13 different neighborhoods. These neighborhoods feature restaurants, shops and other small businesses scattered around residential homes. The majority of Northeast Minneapolis' bars are located along busy Central Avenue, a main route leading into downtown Minneapolis over the Mississippi River bridge.
