Interacting with a dog can be a wonderful experience for many children. However, for some, a less than positive interaction can cause fear and trauma for many years. When introducing a toddler to a dog, it is essential that both the toddler and the dog are prepared for a positive encounter. Helping a toddler to meet a dog properly can ensure safety in future interactions with other dogs later in the child's life.
