A French appetizer that resembles deviled eggs, mimosa eggs consist of hard-boiled egg halves with a filling of egg yolk and other ingredients. Mimosa eggs use ingredients that give the filling a creamy consistency, for example, mayonnaise or mustard. The filling also has seasonings such as garlic, lemon, salt and pepper.
If you're created a menu for your guests and realize all the warm appetizers won't fit in your oven, don't panic. Consider nontraditional warming methods, such as setting appetizers on top of towel-covered heating pads set at high temperature. With a little bit of ingenuity, your guests will be impressed by both the food you offer them and your inventiveness.
Halloween is a particularly fun time to create foods that look bad but taste good. Choose a mixture of hot and cold, spicy and sweet, fruit, vegetable and meat dishes to prepare an entire meal based on appetizers. Or invite friends to bring dishes based on one theme, such as edible body parts.
