  • Allergies to Thyroid Replacement Therapy

Harvard Medical School reports that more than 12 million Americans suffer from thyroid disease. Either their thyroids are too active (hyperthyroidism) or too slow (hypothyroidism). Either way, it's a serious problem that affects metabolism and, therefore, mood, behavior and quality of life. Luckily, medications are highly effective to treat these conditions--especially thyroid replacement therapy for hypothyroidism. But for some, there are serious adverse reactions.

  • Worm Therapy to Combat Allergies

You've always been told to rid your body of parasite worms to improve your health. But with worm therapy, the parasites are purposely put into the body to treat diseases and disorders. Many people have not heard of worm therapy, yet it's been researched since the early 1980s. Clinics only treat around 100 people or less each year.

  • Allergy Immune Therapy

Immune therapy for allergies, also known as immunotherapy, will help you tolerate the allergens that cause your allergy symptoms. Immunotherapy is a series of allergy shots where a small amount of the offending allergen is injected. This builds up your tolerance or immunity to the allergen over time. Oral immunotherapy, rush therapy and intranasal therapy are other forms of allergy immunotherapy. Immunotherapy has not been shown to be effective for food allergies or hives. It will not cure your allergies but should help to reduce the severity of your symptoms.

  • Honey Therapy for Allergies

Allergies can put a damper on spring and summertime outdoor fun. Itchy eyes and a runny nose make doing just about anything more difficult. Many people have searched for natural allergy-relief remedies in an attempt to avoid commercially produced medications. There are a number of natural substances that can reduce the effects of allergies, but there is one that might also help allergy sufferers build up their immunity to allergens: honey.

  • Allergy Therapy

Allergies are caused by an immune system overreaction to a normally harmless substance, such as pollen. Hallmark allergy symptoms include sneezing, coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, itchy eyes, hives and rashes. For some allergies, such as food and drug allergies, avoidance is the only treatment. There are many forms of allergy therapy to help alleviate symptoms.
