However, other certification courses advertise that training can take anywhere from one to four weeks.

The cost for online Pilates certification depends on how much information and training the certification course requires. As of 2010, specialized Pilates mat courses cost around $300. Other types of online Pilates courses that are not specialized in a specific area of Pilates training, but also include first aid and sports fitness training, can start at around $70 for certification. When selecting an online Pilates certification program, examine the course material and the cost to see if you are paying for more, or less, training than you personally need as a potential Pilates instructor.
