Easy wedding planning

As more couples look for unique ways to celebrate on their wedding day, western-themed weddings have increased in popularity. This type of wedding is not only popular with older couples, but many younger couples are getting married wearing cowboy hats and boots. A bride can find a suitable western wedding dress if she is diligent in her search. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. An Overview Of Western-Themed Weddings

    • Weddings are usually a joyful time as many couples try to find unique ways to get married. More couples are now choosing a themed wedding instead of the simple weddings of the past. One of the most popular wedding themes is a western wedding. This will involve purchasing a western wedding dress for the bride and the equivalent western suit for the groom. Some specialty wedding shops even offer western bridesmaid dresses or western costumes for guests.

Not all themed weddings are expensive, and the clothing for the bride and groom can be purchased before the wedding at a reasonable price.

The Style of Western Wedding Dresses

    • The style of western wedding dresses reflect the culture and the time in which they were created. Usually the dresses were made of silk and contained a corset. Most of the dresses were cut in an A-line shape to flatter a small waist. All these style of dresses are long either with a train, or ending in lace at the end.

Depending on the bride's preference, the dress can be worn with a bustle at the back or crinoline, which was also popular for women to wear during a western-themed wedding. The dresses are usually white or cream in color. In some instances it is possible to choose a color other than white or cream from a western wedding dress, as blue can also be a popular color.

    Western Wedding Accessories

    • A dress will not be complete without the usual accessories to bring out its true beauty. My women with a themed wedding such as this select white cowboy boots, parasols, lace gloves and a cowgirl hat with attached veil to complement a western wedding dress.

    Finding Western Wedding Dresses

    • Western-style clothing can be found at vintage clothing stores, and these are the best places to start looking for your western wedding dress. Other than going to a vintage store, try a consignment shop, or purchase the dress online. Anyone not wanting to purchase a dress can also look into renting a dress from a costume store.

A vintage shop should be the first place a bride visits when looking for a western wedding dress. Vintage shops will have items for sale that are not commonly found in regular dress shops. The bride and groom might also be able to find other accessories such as lace gloves and cowboy hats.

    Finding Western Wedding Clothing Online

    • When searching for suitable western wedding clothing, the Internet is also one place to look. Almost all wedding attire can be purchased online with the option to ask the online company questions about the wedding dress before making a selection. However, it is suggested the bride and groom review the terms and conditions for returning items if there is a problem.
