The Roketa Bahama is a scooter like this one

The Roketa Bahama is a 150cc scooter that is perfect for short distances within a city or town. Its small size means it parks just about anywhere, its power is enough to keep up with traffic while not requiring advanced skills, and it is reasonably affordable. For the young (in age or at heart) single urban professional, a Bahama 150 is an excellent transportation choice.

  1. Power

    • The Bahama 150 cc is not an incredibly powerful vehicle, and as such should probably not be taken on the highway. It can carry 275 lbs. of people and/or luggage and reach speeds of up to 55 miles per hour.

    Acceleration

    • The Roketa does not have high acceleration due to its 150 cc engine. This means that while it is excellent for driving around a city, where speed limits tend to reach a limit of 30 or 45 miles per hour, it is not safe or wise to drive the Roketa on the highway, where cars go upwards of 65 miles per hour.

    Starting the Bahama

    • The Roketa Bahama has a key ignition, and there are two ways to start the engine--either push button or through the kickstarter. To start the Bahama 150, you need to put the key in, press the brake and press the starter button. If, however, your battery is dead or the starter button is broken, you can kick start the Bahama by pressing down on the kickstarter while simultaneously accelerating.

    Brakes

    • The Rocketa has disc brakes on the front tire and drum brakes on the rear tire. These are activated by hand. While the front brake is more powerful than the rear brake, it is advisable to use them both at once.

    Measurements

    • The Roketa Bahama 150 weighs 215 lbs. without anyone on it. Its ground clearance is 3.74 inches, and the highest measurement from the top to bottom is just over 3 feet 4 inches. From front to back, it measures 6 foot 1 inch. The wheelbase--or distance from the center of each wheel--is 4 feet 2 inches, and each wheel has a 13-inch tire. The fuel capacity is 1.45 gallons.
