Semi Inground Swimming Pool Information
Semi in-ground swimming pools are installed partially above ground and partially underground. This allows for the installation of the pool in a wide variety of terrains and backyards that may not be suitable for a traditional in-ground or above-ground pool. Does this Spark an idea?

Location
-
Semi in-ground swimming pools are ideal for backyards that slope as they can be installed both above and in the ground.
When choosing the location of a swimming pool, safety precautions must be taken. These include paying attention to the presence of power lines, any underground cables or pipes, exposure to sunlight, the potential pump's location in terms of power supply, and potential location of pool ladders or steps.
Benefits and Features
-
According to Propools, semi-in-ground pools provide many advantages over traditional above or in-ground swimming pools. The panels are nearly corrosion-proof due to the no-weld wall construction. The bolt-fastening system requires no concrete in installation of the pool, and leads to strength in the pools walls. Finally, the semi-in-ground pool is able to regain its strength longer than traditional pools due to its often unique shape. Semi-in-ground pools also increase property value and are cleaner than traditional in-ground pools due to their raised nature.

Installation
-
Semi-in-ground pools are installed nearly identically to an in-ground pool. It is possible to hire a construction crew to install a semi-in-ground crew, or to measure, dig, fill and line the pool personally.
Pricing
-
Semi-in-ground pools do fit a wider variety of backyards and are thus more expensive than traditional above and in-ground pools. As of June 2010, round semi-in-ground pools range in price from approximately $3,000 to $9,000 dependent upon size.
Rectangular semi-in-ground pools range in price from approximately $5,000 to $13,000 dependent upon size. Oval semi-in-ground pools range in price from approximately $6,000 to $12,000 dependent upon size.
Cleaning
-
Semi-in-ground swimming pools do not differ from above or in-ground swimming pool maintenance. Pools are cleaned with a filter, cleaning machine that cleans along the bottom of a pool and a manual net-like skimmer.
