About Stretch Oversized Beach Cruisers
Cruiser bicycles, also known as beach cruisers, are a popular pastime and tourist activity along coastlines. Stretch oversize cruisers resemble chopper motorcycles. Their extended frames create a smooth, comfortable ride for users. Traffic can often be problematic in coastal areas, which makes the stretch beach cruiser an easier way to run errands, go to the beach or sight-see as a tourist. Stretch beach cruisers are available in men's, women's or unisex styles.

Significance
-
Stretch beach cruisers provide a more comfortable, leisurely ride for users. The longer frame of the bicycle, combined with a shorter height, oversized seat and wider tires give riders a more relaxed posture. Riders use these bikes to get around town or to improve physical fitness and agility. However, they are not designed for climbing hills, nor do they generate an intense workout.
Sizes
-
Stretch beach cruiser sizes are defined by the size of the outside diameter of the tire. Similar to traditional bikes, oversized stretch beach cruisers are available with 24- or 26-inch tires. Some bikes have a 26-inch tire on the front and a 24-inch tire on the back.

Manufacturers
-
Multiple companies design and manufacture stretch beach cruisers. Firmstrong, Phat Cycles, Micargi and Mustang serve as some of the most popular manufacturers. Other companies can custom-build stretch cruisers, much like they can custom-build a motorcycle.
Features
-
Stretch beach cruisers have distinct characteristics. They come equipped with 68 spokes on the rims, 13- to 15-inch frames, spring-loaded seats and a noticeably longer frame than traditional bicycles. They are primarily constructed of steel alloy and steel. Some bikes come in either a one- or three-speed option.
Price
-
Prices for stretch beach cruisers typically range from approximately $250 to $500. However, some models, especially custom versions, near the $800 to $1,000 range. Features such as extra padding and springs in the seat, construction materials or designer may impact the price of the bike.
