Research Resources
-
The Internet has spawned numerous Disney fan sites with helpful tips and anecdotes giving you great information from Disney enthusiasts, many of whom have been to the parks dozens of times. Message boards where you can post questions and read input from experts can be invaluable resources. In addition, there are several guidebooks from travel writers that you will find helpful to carry with you through the parks. The Disney World website is also a good resource for basic information, though it lacks objectivity.
When to Go
-
Visiting Disney World when crowds are lowest will help you avoid long lines and see more attractions during your time there. Spring break, the 4th of July and the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day are the busiest times of the year and should be avoided if your travel plans can accommodate it. During your trip, the best time to get to the parks is early in the day, slightly before opening.

Guests staying at a Disney hotel may with to take advantage of Disney's "Magical Express" service, which transports guests from the airport to their hotel (and back) free of charge. In addition, Disney staff will pick up guests' luggage from the airport and deliver it directly to their room.

It's smart to set a budget for how much you expect to spend per person, per day. Shopping at local grocery stores and keeping food in your hotel refrigerator is a good way to cut down on park food costs. Guests staying on property can take advantage of the Disney Dining Plan, which allots a certain number of meals per person for a set fee. Bonus: plan your trip when Disney is offering the dining plan for free and save hundreds of dollars.
