The Slingbox Pro-HD allows users to stream video remotely to their computer or mobile phone. Devices such as cable boxes, DVRs and DVD players can be hooked up to the Pro-HD and controlled remotely over the Internet. Video content from those devices is then displayed on your computer. Footage can even be displayed on certain mobile phones. The service is also notable in that it requires no monthly fees.

The Pro-HD lets users control all IR devices remotely and features an electronic program guide (EPG) for displaying available television content. The Slingplayer also features functions similar to DVRs where users can fast-forward, pause or rewind live video content. You can also program shows from your DVR remotely using the Slingplayer's EPG.

Slingplayer Pro-HD can handle streaming of HD video content and also handles all standard definition video as well. The Pro-HD can send video content up to 1080i resolution, though the final resolution is ultimately determined by your Internet connection's upload speed.
SlingPlayer Mobile

Using the SlingPlayer Mobile software, users can also view video content on capable cellular devices, such as the iPhone and certain BlackBerry devices. The mobile version of Slingbox also allows you to control your television by changing channels, fast-forward or rewinding and scheduling DVR recordings.

Slingbox Pro-HD will work on Mac and PC computers. For HD video, Slingbox recommends that an Internet bandwidth should be a minimum of 3 Mbps. Pro-HD also requires an Intel Core 2 Duo processor to stream HD video (2.4 Ghz for PC users, and 2.8 Ghz for Mac users), and 2 GB of RAM.
