FHTM (Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing) is a multi-level marketing or network marketing company. Founded in 2001, the company is based in Lexington, Kentucky, and is managed by a team experienced in multi-level marketing. The company literature boasts that FHTM is financially solid and 100 percent debt-free. When you join Fortune, you become an Independent Representative or Manager. Your goal is to recruit others into the business and sell the various products and services offered through FHTM. You earn commissions on products and services sold and by recruiting new members.

Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing was founded by Paul Orberson, a former high school teacher and coach. Out of a desire to provide a financially secure future for his family, he discovered the world of network marketing in 1990. As a Marketing Representative he helped turn a small start-up business into a multi-billion dollar publicly traded NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) company. Paul was able to retire before the age of 40 but soon decided work was more fulfilling than retirement; thus the idea for FHTM was born.

Paul Orberson started by reviewing numerous other multi-level marketing companies. He found that most of them operated with fundamental weaknesses and major deficiencies within their programs and compensation plans. The most important thing to him became creating a network marketing program that was representative-rewarding and representative-friendly. Orberson and his collective staff of business experts went on to create partnerships with Tier 1 (at the top of their industry) companies in the technology and communication industries.

Contracts were negotiated and soon FHTM was offering competitive pricing on a myriad of products and services for its customers, including everything from cell phones/service plans and cable TV to health and nutritional products and online fitness programs. As an Independent Representative for Fortune you have the opportunity to get paid for using products and services you may already be using. You will earn a monthly commission on your monthly cell phone bill or for that monthly vitamin supplement you purchase. This creates a loyal customer base for the companies contracted with Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing.
Training

At the core of FHTM representative training is the idea of relationship marketing. As a rep, you are simply trying to gather a few loyal customers, namely friends and family members, to start purchasing products and services through you because of the relationship you already have with them. Ideally the goal is to have those same friends and family members sign up to become Fortune representatives as well. Training is centered on current representatives inviting others to informational meetings about FHTM and hoping they will sign up before they leave the meeting.
Compensation

It will cost you around $300 to get started as a Fortune Independent Representative. The first goal is to get at least three people signed up under you, or into your "downline." The person who got you to sign up is part of your "upline." For every one of those three people you will earn a $100 quick-start bonus if they sign up within 60 days of your start date. In the ideal world, those three people will go on to sign up three people each for a total of 12 people in your downline. For every product and service purchased and sold by you and your downline, you will earn a commission. Your upline will be earning commissions from you and your downline as well.
