Slavia Pellet Rifle Information

Slavia pellet rifles are produced by Ceska Zbrojovka, an air gun manufacturer located in the Czech Republic. Slavia pellet guns are high-quality general purpose air rifles that are adaptable to specific shooting styles. The receivers are factory milled to accommodate open sights or telescopic scopes, and the stocks are available in beechwood or plastic.

  1. Operation

    • Slavia pellet rifles are break-barrel operated, meaning that the rifle barrel acts as a lever to cock the rifle. Upon pulling down the barrel, the rifle’s spring (which fires the pellet) is cocked back, and the breach is opened. A pellet is then placed into the action and the barrel is closed. The rifle is ready to fire.

    Ammunition

    • Slavia air guns are designed to shoot .117 caliber pellets. The manufacturer recommends using Diablo pellets; Diablo pellets are seven-grain pellets in .117 caliber and function particularly well in Slavia rifles.

    Trigger Adjustment

    • Slavia rifles come from the factory with the trigger tension set to its highest setting. The trigger pull can be adjusted by removing the stock and loosening the trigger spring (located just behind the trigger). Tension is reduced by unscrewing the adjustment screw adjacent to to the spring.

    Range Adjustment

    • Slavia pellet rifles are preset for 10 m. To increase the range, the sight elevation dial must be turned to a higher number. It’s important to note that the numbers are on the dial for reference only and do not represent any specific range.

    Maintenance

    • Slavia air guns should be cleaned approximately every three months or every few hundred shots. The manufacturer suggests running a dry patch through the barrel, wiping down the metallic surfaces with gun oil and cleaning the stock with wood polish. The air gun should be stored in a dry environment.
