Skills

  • Assistant nurse managers have to be excellent communicators in order to make sure that all of the nurses and administrators understand their roles and the goals of the facility. Without this communication, patient service suffers. Assistant nurse managers also need to be good at organization, since they have to keep track of patient and administrative data and ensure that all nurses are accounted for and on task.
