TravaCor Side Effects

TravaCor is a supplement marketed to help relieve sleep disorders, anxiety and hyperactivity. It comes in the form of a tablet and can currently be purchased without a prescription.TravaCor is a supplement and therefore not reviewed by the U.S Food and Drug Administration. As with any medication or supplement, there are side effects associated with the use of TravaCor that should be taken into consideration before beginning use.

  1. Before Beginning Use

    • Individuals should always consult a physician before beginning use of a new medication or supplement. Speak with your doctor about your intentions to use TravaCor and for what purposes. Your doctor will let you know if TravaCor could interact with any of the medications or supplements you are currently on in order to prevent drug interactions or decreased efficacy of your existing drug regimen before it occurs.

    Nausea and Vomiting

    • Nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal issues are potential side effects of using TravaCor. According to the manufacturer, NeuroScience Inc, these side effects typically subside not long after beginning use of the product. However, if the side effects persist or you have existing gastrointestinal conditions and using TravaCor exacerbates these issues, speak to your doctor about the advisability of continuing use of the supplement.

    Vitamin B6 Side Effects

    • A single dose (three capsules) of TravaCor provides 450 percent of the standard daily value of vitamin B6. This is a large amount of the vitamin; however, it is still well within the guidelines of how much can be safely consumed on a daily basis. The severe neurological side effects associated with B6 toxicity should not occur if taking TravaCor as recommended. However, other milder and more common side effects of vitamin B6 include rashes, fatigue and loss of appetite.

    Vitamin B12 Side Effects

    • One dose of TravaCor also contains 500 percent of a person's daily value of vitamin B12 based on a standard 2,000-calorie diet. This is a high dosage of vitamin B12, but should not fall within the range of toxicity if TravaCor is taken as directed. Side effects of vitamin B12 are rare but include diarrhea, blood clots in the legs and potential allergic reactions.

    Allergic Reaction

    • As with the use of all medications and supplements, there is always the possibility of an allergic reaction when using TravaCor. Symptoms of an allergic reaction can range from mild rashes and hives to swelling and labored breathing. Seek immediate medical attention if you feel you are experiencing an allergic reaction to TravaCor.
