History & Significance of Morning Glories

The meaning of flowers came about largely during the Victorian era, when the showing of affection was taboo. Lovers could send flowers to convey messages to the recipients, and the hidden message of the aster was "Take care of yourself for me." Morning glories are often found in wedding bouquets and sent to new parents to congratulate them on the birth of a new baby. The morning glory is also sent on September 11 to commemorate Patriot Day.
