The Internet has become a necessity in the real estate industry because it has enabled Realtors to put all of their information, including their listings, in front of potential buyers. Whether a Realtor is representing buyers or sellers, they have an obligation to their clients to have the exposure necessary to close the deal. A professional looking website is an ideal source for leads because it says a lot about the type of person the agent is. Clients that are interested in representation will, in most cases, contact a Realtor through their website.
Realtors often have a budget to pay for advertisements such as listings in home-buying magazines, search engine ad campaigns and features on public websites. Advertising is an important way for Realtors to find leads because it ensures that their name remains in the public eye. A successful advertising campaign is often effective long after the campaign has ended. Even if a client is not ready for a Realtor's services at that moment, a memorable advertisement will compel them to contact the Realtor when they have a need.
Signs in front of existing listings are a common source for Realtor's leads. Home-buyers still find it necessary to get in the car and drive around prospective neighborhoods to see what inventory may be available. A Realtor's sign in front of a home they have listed for sale may prompt a call from a potential home-buyer or even a home seller looking for representation. Neighbors that are considering listing their homes for sale may be compelled to contact a Realtor based on the sign in front of another neighbor's home.
Realtor Open Houses
The Realtor community often work together towards the success of their business. A common source of Realtor leads is other Realtors. Real Estate Agents hold "Realtor" open houses so they may present their listings to other agents that may have a potential buyer for the property. It is a tremendous networking opportunity for agents to come together to discuss the buyers and sellers they are currently working with to see if other agents have a potential match.
