The Penn Forster program will also make the technician eligible to take the new EPA exam, ensuring environmentally safe practices in HVAC repair. George Mason University has an online program chosen by NATE as the best program. The 320-hour course is intended for those with little experience in the field. For a little over $3,000, this course will prepare a person to take the NATE exam upon completion.
