Airplane Mechanic Salary
Airplane mechanics test, diagnose and repair problems and faulty parts in private and commercial aircraft. Approximately 30 percent of aircraft mechanics maintain union membership, which may affect their earning potential. Airplane mechanics normally work a regular 40 hour week, but employers may require them to be on-call and work overtime when needed.
