Full Size Vs. Mini Laptops
There are many features to consider for those undergoing the search for a new laptop. One of the most important however, is to choose between a mini or a full size laptop . There are definite advantages to both sizes depending on what you plan to use the laptop for and your lifestyle.
-
Price
-
Full size laptops are generally more expensive than mini laptops. This is because mini laptops are less powerful, have less RAM and a smaller battery. They are generally used to get access to the Internet and for word processing. Large laptop can handle more software and can act as a storage device for your music and pictures.
Portability
-
If you have to carry your laptop to and from work or school you would benefit from purchasing a mini laptop that only weighs a few pounds. For many people, the only true laptops are mini and are portable. Full size laptops can be carried around but they are significantly heavier and bulkier.
-
Power and Memory
-
Larger laptops generally have more power and are able to handle a more software and hold more memory. This means you can keep all of your pictures and music on your larger laptop. Though this is changing with the ever-shrinking battery size, larger laptops generally have larger batteries that are able to last longer. This is especially important for those that like to work in transit.
Gaming
-
Without a doubt, those that are using the laptop primarily for gaming purposes will want to purchase a large laptop. Larger laptops have larger screens and will enhance the gaming experience. Some laptops are made specifically for gaming and feature a large widescreen computer screen.
Video Watching
-
If you do not have a television or if you will be watching a lot of movies on your laptop, consider getting a large laptop. This will enhance your movie watching experience and will allow you to watch movie with more than one person. Also, some mini laptops have USB ports but do not have a DVD drive.
