      Courses

      • RIT offers training in OSHA standards and occupational health and safety concerns. Courses include construction safety, ergonomics, fire engineering, chemical exposure and respiratory protection. Classes are hands-on and tailored to the workforce. Participants earn certificates by completing six to seven classes, depending on whether they seek a General Industry Safety and Health Specialist Certificate or a Construction Safety and Health Specialist Certificate. Online Training

RIT offers both 10-hour and 30-hour courses in both general industry and construction topics online.

      Certificates

      • The RIT OSHA Training Center offers two different Safety and Health Specialist Certificates. The Construction Safety and Health Specialist Certificate offers classes in topics like disaster site work, electrical standards and construction noise. This certificate qualifies recipients to implement OSHA regulations and develop workplace safety solutions on the construction field. This certificate qualifies recipients to oversee OSHA regulations and devise workplace safety strategies in a general industrial setting. Both certificates provide a flexible choice of electives.
