Circle Y Saddles was founded in 1960. Leland Tucker founded Circle Y Saddles in 1960. Located in Yoakum, Texas, Tucker sought to produce the highest quality saddles he could. Circle Y Saddles continued as a family-owned company until 2000. Since 2003, the company's new ownership has re-established Circle Y Saddles as one of America's leading saddle makers.

Roping saddles are just one type of saddle Circle Y makes. Circle Y makes Western-style saddles for a variety of disciplines. Circle Y says that their showing, reining, trail riding, Arabian, team penning, cutting, roping, barrel racing and ranch work saddles of many designs give riders several choices to meet their needs.

Flex-Lite and Flex2

Circle Y seeks to use technology to improve saddle making. Circle Y seeks to be a leader in saddle innovations, and it released its Flex-Lite saddles in 1998. Flex-Lite saddles feature flexible bars to maximize comfort and performance for both the horse and the rider, according to Circle Y. The Flex2 designs feature such elements as the Precision Flex2 Tree and Flex2 Bars that use non-traditional materials, including neoprene, and technological improvements, such as non-stitched skirts, in Circle Y Saddles.

Only authorized dealers can sell Circle Y saddles. Only authorized dealers can sell Circle Y Saddles. According to Circle Y, to be considered as a dealer, a candidate must be a tack retailer with a permanent retail store front with regular retail hours and interested in carrying a full line of saddles and tack. Circle Y dealers handle customer questions and facilitate repairs. Hundreds of dealers are located in the U.S. and Canada, and Circle Y Saddles dealers can even be found worldwide.
John Wayne Edition Saddle

The commemorative saddle celebrated John Wayne's 100th birthday. In 2007, to commemorate his 100th birthday, Circle Y released a limited edition saddle in honor of John Wayne. The saddle, which was called the Courage saddle, was an exact replica of his own saddle, currently located in the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. The saddle featured a hand-tooled floral pattern, engraved brass rigging and silver Mexican Peso Conchos. The special saddles were released in November 2007 and sold only for 60 days through December 2007 to ensure a high value by collectors, according to Circle Y.
