Wolfe's Leisure Time Campground

Wolfe's is a full-service campground located only ten miles northeast of the city. The campground also offers primitive campsites for visitors pitching tents. The facility offers showers and laundry facilities, a camp store, and a recreational building where guests can play video games or shoot pool. A swimming pool, basketball court, and horseshoe pits are also on-site. Wolfe's boasts playgrounds and hiking trails as well. Guests can fish off the Wabash River bank or launch their fishing boat from a ramp located on facility property.

Located at the confluence of the Wabash and Tippecanoe Rivers, this state park offers many activities from hiking to biking. The park also has a rich historical heritage. Fishing can be done along any of the riverbanks within the park boundaries, providing necessary licenses are in order. The campground provides sites with either full electric and water hook-ups or just electric hook-ups. For self-contained recreational vehicles, there is a dump station. A play area is available for the kids.

Located approximately 20 miles southeast of Lafayette is the Big Fish'n Campground. Three man-made ponds are stocked with a variety of fish, including bass, carp, wild channel catfish, and farm channel catfish. The facility boasts that each fish in the ponds is at least two pounds. The campground offers 60 full-service sites and unlimited primitive sites on the property. The facility includes a camp store for fishing and camping supplies. Also, a heated swimming pool is on the premises, as are several play areas.
AOK Campground

The closest campground to downtown Lafayette is landlocked with no fishing access; nevertheless, the banks of the Wabash River at Shamrock Park are only four miles away. AOK is within walking distance of many city restaurants and grocery stores. Also, there is a camp store on the premises. The campground has full-service hook-ups as well as facilities for tent camping. Sites are shaded with picnic tables. The facility has a swimming pool, recreational building, playground, and 24-hour laundry.
Sugar Creek Campground

Located on Sugar Creek, approximately 30 miles south of Lafayette, this campground promotes fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. Two stocked fishing ponds are within walking distance of the campsites. The campground offers full hook-ups with tent camping designated in certain areas. Primitive campsites are also available. The facility has a camp store, a playground, and picnic tables. Concerts are scheduled every summer. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the campground shop.
