Listening to a leader talk about the principles that have made him or her succeed as a leader will inspire and provide direction for both the leader and the team. Another popular type of training for leaders and team building is games and activities. Games and activities designed to specifically address team and leadership issues will give the team members a hands-on experience to learn and grow. A common example of this type of leader and team training is a challenge course.

    • Continual leadership development and team building exercises will produce a unified team that has clear direction and members that trust one another and leadership. Communication among the team will be more effective, leading to satisfied team members and leadership that are able to express thoughts, feeling and concerns in a safe environment.

    • Every leader and team needs constant growth and is never done growing. A leader should always be in training by reading leadership books, involving himself in leadership groups and attending seminars. Teams should be presented with the opportunity to grow by their leadership on a weekly basis to maintain team unity and movement forward.
