Many businesses and organizations employ hosts and hostesses to serve their group in a variety of ways. These highly personable people are the face of the organization in public gatherings. They welcome, greet and encourage newcomers and older members to enter and participate in the event.
They are a type of Master of Ceremonies at events to welcome the crowd and facilitate the events of the evening. A good host must have excellent appearance and communication skills to do their job well.
