The Importance of Men's Fashion
Men's fashion has evolved in style just as dynamically and tremendously as women's fashion. Men's fashion is more than just the aesthetics, it is a reflection of an individual. A sloppily dressed man pales in comparison to someone who is neatly and smartly dressed. The latter is deemed a gentleman, powerful and confident. Fashion allows men to project an image they want others to see. Does this Spark an idea?

Significance of Fashion
-
Fashion is a visual power. According to Antonio Centeno, president of A Tailored Suit, even before you speak, you have already been profiled, based solely on your appearance.
Fashion can make you look and feel more confident. A well-dressed man commands respect and inspires beauty in others. If you want to look more professional in an important business meeting, exude wealth and status, or receive better customer service, wear the right clothes.
Fashion Etiquette
-
A man needs to understand the fashion etiquette of an occasion or activity.
Black Tie refers to formal events where a man is expected to wear a tuxedo. Occasions such as formal or traditional weddings, operas, balls, and charity dinners require this fashion style. Black Tie Optional makes a dark suit acceptable as well, but wearing a tuxedo is an option.
Semi-formal is usually a dark suit with a crisp dress shirt and a conservative tie. Business Casual requires a dress shirt and nice trousers, but a tie is optional. You can add a sports jacket or blazer to spruce up the outfit.
Finally, casual wear consists of jeans, cotton trousers, and shorts. Colorful or bold patterns also fall in this category.

Proper Wardrobe for Different Occasions
-
Weddings fall between black tie and business casual. Church weddings and evening ceremonies are more formal than outdoor and daytime weddings. Tuxedos are most often for evening celebrations.
Start your date on the right foot by making a good impression with a comfortable well-fitting suit or sports jacket. They emphasize your shoulders, slim down your waist and make you look taller. Dark wool trousers also look nicer than typical jeans.
Proper dress at a funeral shows respect to the deceased and the family. The dark suit, simple shirt, dark tie and nice shoes are generally accepted in western societies.
Proper Fit
-
Centeno's site, A Tailored Man, explains that proper fit means wearing clothes that are comfortable but not loose. Pants should be at waist level, near the navel. The man with a belly will look more presentable with high-rise trousers draping from his middle. The pants' bottoms should be touching the shoes' uppers, but must not touch the ground.
A jacket must fit the chest and shoulders correctly. With jacket buttoned and arms hanging loosely on the sides, the lapel lies flat against the front panels, the buttons rest lightly on the stomach or close to it, and the biceps should just barely break the sleeve's drape from the shoulder. The shirt must always be tighter than the jacket.
Personal Style
-
What you wear must complement your hair color, skin tone, height, eye color or body type, among other factors. Your clothes must enhance your look and not overwhelm it. The weather, location and culture also influence fashion choice. Base your personal style on your own tastes. Fashion choice is about individuality from the choice of color, fabric and clothing articles to the design, cut and price. Think of how you want others to perceive you.
