Nerf darts are small cylinders of foam that measure about 4 inches long and a half-inch in diameter. Children use these hollow darts in special Nerf guns. Some Nerf guns need specific types of darts to make the gun work. Not all darts work in all guns. All Nerf darts are lightweight and harmless to play with.

Some darts have suction cups on the ends of them. These suction cups allow the darts that a child shoots to stick to specialty targets or glass windows. While the dart may leave a little bit of a mark on the windows, you can easily clean it off with some glass cleaner and a rag. Nerf makes a special missile-looking dart to use with their crossbow style gun. There is also a mega-missile. Players can only use the Titan Nerf gun with the mega-missile. The mega-missile is about 12 inches long and 5 inches in diameter, making it the absolute largest of all the Nerf darts.
