The LG Chocolate handset is a palm-size cell phone that is known mainly for is 360-degree-view touchscreen. This handset is also music-centric with extra features such as Dolby equalizers, FM radio, a 3.2 megapixel camera and a full Internet browser. The LG chocolate touch phone is available on the Verizon network or about $79.99 as of March 2010 and is a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) phone. This means that no SIM card is necessary to use this phone.

  1. Getting Started

    • Your LG Chocolate phone should come with the battery installed and a USB wall charger. If the battery is not in the handset, remove the back cover and place the battery in with the LG logo facing upwards. The top of the batteries should be pushed down first and then into the space. After the battery has been inserted, replace the cover and connect the USB wall charger to the phone by lifting the flap on the side of your handset and inserting the cord in.

    Software

    • Your LG Chocolate touch phone comes with a software CD. This software has to be loaded onto your PC before you can use your PC to read the phone's micro-SD card. Insert the software CD into your computer's CD drive and follow the on-screen instructions to install your phone's software and driver. Do not plug your cell phone into your PC unless you are prompted to during the installation process.

    SD Memory Card

    • In order to save any media to your cell phone or from your cell phone you must insert your micro-SD card. You can insert the card by removing the back cover from your phone and locating the micro-SD slot at the top left of your handset. Insert the small black micro-SD card into this slot by gently pushing it in, in the direction of the arrows. Then slide the cover back on to the phone.

    Calling

    • In order to make a phone call from your LG Chocolate, unlock the touch screen by sliding the triangular "Unlock" icon upward. Next, touch the "Phone" icon in order to display the number pad on your screen. From here, you can dial the number that you wish to call. Finally, press the "Send" key in order to call the number. To read all the numbers you dialed, press the "Send" key to display them, touch the number you want to dial and press the "Send" key again. To answer a call slide up the triangular "Icon" key and touch the "Answer" key. To end the call, press the "Power" key.

    Texting

    • The LG Chocolate handset can hold up to 540 text messages, although this number may vary depending on whether they are multimedia messages or larger-sized messages. To read a received text message, touch the "Message" icon displayed on the screen. To send a text message, touch the "Message" icon, then touch the contact you want to text to or type in a new number. Then touch the text area and key in the text message you want to send, or touch the word "Pen" and manually write in the message. Press "Done" when you're finished and the "Send" key to send the message.
