Bow
-
Take 16-gauge wire and cut a 40-inch length. Drill holes in both ends of a dozen plastic eggs. Lay them out and arrange them in an attractive color pattern. Following that design, thread them onto the wire. Wire silk leaves between each egg. Shape the wire into a circle and overlap the two ends. Wrap masking tape around the ends to hold in place. Add more silk leaves to hide the masking tape.
Take 6-inch tulle and cut three yards for the bow and 1/2 yard for the tail. Fold the three yards in one continuous accordion pleat, pinning it place if necessary to hold the pleats in place. Slide the 18-inch piece of tulle around the pleats and tie in a square knot so that both ends of the tail hang down evenly. Fluff out the folds to create a full-looking bow. Attach to the wreath with wire.
Tulle Garland
-
Measure the size of the doorway and multiply by 1.5, so if your door is 10 feet wide, you will need 15 feet of tulle. Cut 54 inch wide tulle to the right length. Cut the same length of 1/8 inch wide white ribbon. Cut the ribbon into 18 inch lengths. Buy enough faux ivy garlands so that they can hot glued together to measure the same length as the tulle. Lay the tulle flat on the ground. Lay the garland down the center of the tulle. Wire easter decorations, such as multi-colored easter eggs, to the garland at attractive intervals. Fold the top of the tulle to the middle, slightly covering the garland. Fold the bottom up to the middle so that it slightly overlaps the top fold. Every 15 inches, hand gather the tulle and wrap with the ribbon. Tie the ribbon into bows. Attach to top of the doorway.
