Green planet cleaning, or green earth cleaning, is the use of alternative cleaners that don't contribute to the harm of the environment. All green planet cleansers are comprised of eco-friendly ingredients that will still provide the same effective cleaning in your home in comparison to harsher household chemicals. Since many household products contain corrosive and harmful chemicals, as well as nonrenewable resources, the environment becomes more susceptible to damage. Some cleaners comprised of harsh chemicals, such as ammonia or bleach, can contribute to skin and eye irritation, lung damage and respiratory difficulties.

According to the EPA, cleaners containing "alkylphenol ethoxylates, a common surfactant ingredient in cleaners" has proven to affect the reproductive systems of wildlife who've been exposed to water polluted by these surfactants. Outside of harming wildlife, bodies of water can also become susceptible to the loss of water quality.

By combining1/2 tsp. of baking soda, a 1/4 tsp. of natural liquid soap and 1 1/2 c. of hot water, you can create an all-purpose green cleaner. Not only is the cleaner safer for the environment, but the cleaner provides no harm to you or the air you inhale.
