Konica copier function is just one feature of the document management products developed by Konica Minolta. Konica desktop imaging and document printing systems are able to produce copies of physical documents, but they can also print work sent from a computer or scan physical documents into digital form. Konica digital imaging and printing systems are offered in three different Konica product lines, all of which provide multipurpose imaging systems tailored to different industrial needs.

Copier systems exist on three different series of Konica multipurpose imaging systems: PagePro, Magicolor and Bizhub. For most Konica systems, the copier is initialized by pressing a button labeled "Copy," which is located directly on the console. For Konica Production Print Systems, which are designed to handle more printing at higher speeds, pressing the "Copy" button brings up a Copy Screen on the printing system's monitor, which offers more options for formatting copied documents than other styles of Konica imaging systems. Konica printing and copying systems are capable of handling both color and black-and-white printing, although some systems are only capable of black-and-white printing.

Printing Speed

Konica multipurpose imaging systems are designed to handle large printing or copying loads in short periods of time. At the low end, the Magicolor 1600W printer can process five color prints or 20 black and white prints in one minute. Production print systems from Konica, specifically the Bizhub PRO C65hc, can print 65 color or black and white documents in one minute. Generally, black-and-white copies will print faster than color copies.
Formatting Options

All Konica multipurpose imaging systems that are capable of printing in either color or black-and-white allow you a multitude of formatting options when making a copy. Formatting options can be accessed from the copier console and include copy quality and reduce/enlarge options; lower quality copying will speed the printing process, and the reduce/enlarge option allows you to size a document to your specifications. Recycling

Konica has established an environmentally friendly manufacturing program. Their "3R" policy has already led to innovations such as the Toner Recycling System, which can salvage up to 20 percent of unused toner from copiers. Currently, Konica is researching reusable copier parts, which can be recycled once a document imaging system has reached the end of its service life.
