CoolTouch notes that because the laser bases its targeting on melanin levels, light-colored hair responds less well to this treatment.

According to Medical News Today, CoolTouch received FDA approval for its CTEV varicose vein treatment in 2006. CoolTouch points out that the traditional procedure for varicose vein removal involves significant surgery, recovery time, and troublesome side effects, while the CoolTouch CTEV laser procedure offers a 95 percent success rate with no need for heavy anesthesia or hospitalization.
