A combination square feature a head that slides along a ruled metal blade. This square is typically used to measure both 45 and 90-degree angles.
The carpenter's square is actually a metal triangle. One side of the triangle is marked in inches and the second side features raised edges that allow the tool to be placed securely against the work piece. The third, longer side is marked in degrees from zero to 90 to assist with miter cuts.

The common protractor is a semicircle with degree marks on the outer edge from zero to 180 degrees. These degree increments radiate out from the center base of the protractor. The carpenter or builder's protractor is made of steel or aluminum for longer life and durability.
Carpenters now use digital or dial protractors that measure up to 360 degrees. Those protractors consist of two flat metal bars attached by a hinge at the location of the digital readout or dial.

The angle divisor is a versatile measuring tool to determine internal and external angles. This tool is constructed of heavy aluminum and features an adjustable, four-sided shape that glides along a center ruler. Simply create the desired angle or push the divisor into an existing corner and tighten the locking screw. The angle measurement can be transferred and used in for construction application. The angle divisor combines the features of a sliding T-bevel, miter square, combination square and protractor.
