Placenta cream has been celebrated for years by the wealthy and celebrities alike for its ability to rejuvenate skin tissue and restore a youthful luster to your appearance. For years, people such as Winston Churchill, Dwight Eisenhower and Charlie Chaplin have used creams made from sheep placenta. Does this Spark an idea?

History
-
Any study of placenta cream must include a history of placentas in culture. Cultures around the world honor the placenta. The Navajos bury the placenta in order to bond the child with the land. The Ibo of Nigeria and Ghana consider it to be the twin of the baby, then wrap and bury it. The Egyptians built entire temples to honor royal placentas. The entire world over, the placenta is honored and revered for its healing properties.
Beginnings
-
Placenta cream is created using live cell therapy to extract cells from the sheep placenta. According to The International Clinic of Biological Regeneration, the idea of live cell therapy began in 1931 when Swiss physician Paul Niehans used parathyroid glands from a steer to replace those accidentally removed from a woman during thyroid surgery. Without the glands, she would have died. He injected them into the woman, who recovered from her near death and went on to live another 30 years. The same idea is used when injecting cells from sheep placenta into topical creams.

How
-
Placenta cream uses stem cells from placentas. Sheep placenta cells are the best choice since sheep are strong animals that have incredible immune systems. Sheep stem cells have no antigens and naturally bond to the same organs in the human body as in the sheep's body. In other words, liver to liver, heart to heart. The newer sheep cells stimulate the older cells into activity.
Function
-
Placenta cream serves many functions, but primarily it is an anti-wrinkle cream that provides nourishment and moisture to damaged skin. It should be used daily to achieve the best results. Simply massage the cream as you would any lotion onto whatever part of your skin needs help. The healing properties of the placenta cells begin to work with your own cells to rejuvenate and revitalize.
Warning
-
While there haven’t been any reports of side effects from the use of placenta cream, there have been some issues with the injection of placenta cells into humans. According to the American Medical Association magazine, in 1975, two men were injected with fetal sheep cells and shortly thereafter died of gas gangrene. In addition, 35 deaths have been reported in Germany, due to the use of Neihans’ live cell therapy.
