Benefits of Triphala

Triphala is a plant that is found in India. Triphala works like a laxative or a body cleanser. When triphala is taken, it cleans out the colon, purifies the blood and removes toxins from the liver. Many beneficial effects can result from taking triphala.

  1. Blood Pressure

    • When triphala cleanses the blood, circulation can improve. When the circulation of the blood works properly, this will help to regulate high blood pressure.

    Weight Loss

    • Often when somebody is overweight, it results from too much fluid in the body. When triphala is taken and the liver and colon are cleaned out, the body sheds much of the extra body fluids. When this occurs, there could be a loss of weight.

    Constipation and Diarrhea

    • The most common reason for using a colon cleanser like triphala is to cure constipation or diarrhea. Many diets require foods that can easily lead to constipation or diarrhea, but when triphala cleanses the body, it will help get rid of the extra waste.

    Colon Cancer

    • If triphala is used on a regular basis, the colon will be regularly cleaned out, which will help keep it functioning well. If the colon is in shape and is running well, the chances of getting colon cancer may be reduced.

    Inflammation

    • In addition to cleansing the body, triphala also contains vitamin C. Any substance that contains vitamin C is helpful to the body, because vitamin C fights inflammation.

    Appearance

    • Triphala can also be helpful to your appearance. The cleansing of the body will help clear your skin. Triphala will also provide more energy, and you may feel more healthy. Frequently, feeling energetic and healthy improves personal appearance as well.
