Bodyguard training camps in Southern California offer both group and private training sessions for prospective security officers. The California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services establishes the guidelines for bodyguard training within the state. To work as a bodyguard in California you must obtain a "Guard Card." A minimum of 40 hours of approved training courses must be completed to apply for a registered work card.
