Advanced Golf Technology (AGT) of Irvine, Calif., is a manufacturer of high-tech fairway metals and drivers. Steve Solo--founder of AGT and a graduate from UC Irvine in mathematics and physics--originally worked with exotic metals while in the military. Through his exposure to golf sprang the idea of developing an advanced metal wood. Using an imaginative design, he created what is now known as the SuperNova Fairway Woods and Aurora Drivers.

The SuperNova II Fairway Driver uses 100 percent American-made metals forged in Reading, Penn. The primary metal is Aermet, a super-strong, lightweight steel alloy used in strategic areas in jet fighters, nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers. Through unique application and design, AGT has produced clubs that are very hot off the face and have performance characteristics not seen in other metal clubs.
