Side Effects of Coversyl Plus

Coversyl Plus is a medication made up of a combination of perindopril and indapamide used in the treatment of high blood pressure in users. The medication works by relaxing blood vessels in the body, which in turn helps the heart to pump the blood more easily. As is the case with most blood pressure medications, there are a number of side effects associated with use.

  1. Common Side Effects

    • Some of side effects include cough, dizziness, headache, cold-like symptoms, nausea, vomiting, general weakness, heartburn, fever, and chills. While these are considered the most common side effects associated with using Coversyl Plus, they only affect a small amount of users.

    Severe Side Effects

    • Unfortunately, there are also a number of severe side effects associated with using Coversyl Plus. Some of these side effects include irregular heartbeat, muscle cramps, muscle pain, joint pain, itching, severe liver problems, yellowing of the skin and eyes, numbness or tingling in the extremities, stomach pain, dizziness, and lightheadedness. These side effects are also very rare and do not affect a large amount of users.

    Important Safety Information

    • Coversyl Plus has been known to cause increased dizziness and drowsiness in users. As a result, it is strongly recommended that users do not operate any type of machinery (including automobiles) while using this medication. This medication may make it more difficult for users with diabetes to control their blood sugar and it is highly recommended that users that suffer from this disease stay away from Coversyl Plus.

    Use

    • Always use this medication in direct conjunction with your doctor's orders and never in dosages that exceed what has been recommended on the label. The medication is administered in pill form and should always be taken with a full glass of water. Coversyl Plus is usually taken once per day and should be taken in the morning before breakfast. Always store this drug away from sources of moisture and at room temperature.

    Warning

    • If you experience any of the above side effects, contact your physician immediately.

If an overdose is suspected, contact the poison control center and head directly to the nearest emergency room.

Coversyl Plus is meant in the treatment of the above ailments only and should never be used for any other medical purpose unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.
